After graduating from Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art in 1997 Lesley Sharpe set up a press, nomadic by nature, with the aim to coordinate and collaborate in print projects across fine art, design and architecture.
Her project space, now named 'The Small Press' picked up momentum in April 2006 and continues to foster on a part time basis the appreciation and education of fine art print and innovative digital technologies within the production of contemporary art.
Each project approaches print and it's processes from a conventional and an unconventional methodology and involves the combination of analogue and digital media to produce posters, objects, books and small run limited edition works.
She currently co-ordinates and incorporates projects for artists into the teaching and learning experience at UAL. Recent artists include Roy Voss (Matts Gallery) and Rosalind Nashashibi (ICA Anniversary Print Portfolio).
